91014 Scopello - Castellammare del Golfo
After passing over a terrace that consists of a mix of sand, rocks and spots of seagrass at 6 m, you reach a slope that drops more than 40 m. Pinna Nobilis of all dimensions are common in the area, as are the dens of octopus and morays.
Saraghi, scorpion fishes, shoals of Salpe, Castagnole and red mullets also abound at this depth. At 18 m a wall rich in cracks and cavities shelters Groupers, Corvine and colonies of shrimps.
Moving north-east along the bottom part of the wall, there is a landslide rubble slope which drops to 35 m, here there are yellow and white gorgonian, sponges and madrepores.
Going down to a depth of 40 m there are some specimens of red Gorgonian and some big lobsters.
